Catharine brings over 12 years of environmental, technical, and research-based experience in the public and private sectors. She has experience leading aspects of multiple projects within U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region IV, throughout North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. These projects have included soil and groundwater investigations at former wood treatment facilities; drinking water, surface water, and pore water investigations at wood processing facilities, superfund sites, and former landfills; and sediment investigations at various sites. Catharine has strong organizational, leadership, and written and oral communication skills, and she is versed in R®, ArcGIS®, and Primer® for data analysis and figure production. In addition to her technical expertise and outreach skills, she has managed several projects throughout her career, ensuring tasks are implemented on time and deadlines are met. She has a notable background in chemical and workplace safety leadership and continues to ensure field activities meet OSHA safety standards.
