Catharine Parker is an ecologist with over a decade of environmental, technical, and research-based experience in the public and private sectors. Much of her experience has focused on sediment assessment and Atlantic estuarine ecology – assessing changes in benthic biodiversity related to chemical contamination, surrounding land use, human activity, and natural fluctuations in habitat conditions. Catharine’s specific areas of expertise include data collection and interpretation for benthic macroinvertebrates, metals, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), and pesticides. Catharine has led ecological assessments using a variety of techniques. She also has strong report writing, outreach, and boating operation skills, as well as a dedicated background in chemical and workplace safety.
