An experienced analyst and researcher, Maxwell brings hands-on knowledge and expertise to our sediment and risk assessment team. He is quick to learn new concepts and is committed to building quality relationships with his clients and colleagues.

In addition to researching biogeochemical processes that occur in soil and aqueous environments, both on the micro and macro-scale, Maxwell has implemented new analytical techniques to track the transportation and transformation of organic compounds across ecosystems. He also has experience maintaining a variety of field sensors for an expansive soil and river monitoring network.

Maxwell is a hands-on scientist and has designed and implemented experiments with field work components in all conditions, including recovering frozen soils and near-stream groundwater samples. His extensive lab work has included the assessment of microbial community dynamics, soil organic matter dynamics, and water quality analysis. He has also instructed and collaborated with researchers nationwide, including the Idaho Critical Zone Observatory and Denver Water.
