Natalie is an Environmental Scientist with experience working with soil and sand samples, sample collection and preparation, soil physicochemical analysis, DNA extraction and analysis, on-site vegetation diversity surveys.
Natalie grew up in the Adelaide hills which sparked a passion for environmental restoration and rehabilitation. She is inquisitive and dedicated with an interest in working across different disciplines and industries to generate ideas for a more sustainable future. She enjoys collaborating on projects and has experience in communicating research to public audiences.
After graduating with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Flinders University, Natalie pursued an Honours degree investigating the bacterial communities of soil and sand in childcare centres with a focus on potential links to human health. Natalie also examined the diversity and quality of vegetation surrounding childcare centres, through which she developed strong data analysis and reporting skills.
