Tom Silverman brings over 20 years’ experience in hydrogeology and environmental management to the EHS Support team. Through his managerial skills and technical expertise, he works hard to ensure quality deliverables and unmatched performance on all projects and portfolios within the Remediation Service Line. As the Remediation Service Line leader, Tom’s responsibilities include the oversight, direction, coordination, and staffing of a team of over 50 technical experts, including groundwater modelers, risk assessors, hydrogeologists, remediation engineers, and field investigation teams. His technical experience is focused on the implementation of environmental investigations, feasibility studies, remedial design and implementation at environmental cleanup sites. He has worked on a diverse range of projects at petroleum, chemical, manufacturing, landfill, and munitions facilities, many with complex settings including fine grained soils, sediments, and fractured bedrock. He has also managed and been the technical lead on dozens of site assessment and remediation projects for contaminants including NAPL, metals, chlorinated solvents, metals, pesticides, and PCBs throughout the US and internationally. Earlier in his career, Tom served as the portfolio manager and national client account manager for an Australian oil-and-gas company where he worked on projects focused on the water management and the assessment of environmental impacts associated with coal seam gas (CSG) extraction.
