EHS Support provided strategic guidance to identify and outline the approval requirements for establishing a reception, preparation, and dispatch site within or adjacent to a port. This site would support decommissioning activities for the offshore oil and gas industry. The project focused on outlining the process, estimated costs, and timelines for obtaining regulatory approvals—covering planning and environmental requirements—for suitable sites in ports across Victoria, the Northern Territory, and Western Australia.
Building on this initial scope, EHS Support developed a detailed strategic framework tailored to specific ports in Western Australia. This framework included guidance for creating multi-purpose materials recycling and repurposing facilities, covering everything from site selection to securing development and licensing approvals.
